Bruce Sudweeks
Area of Residence: Santa Cruz Mountains
Plain and simple Bruce loves to take underwater photos. The images have been captured under bridges, inside culverts, in rivers, aquariums, ponds, oceans, seas, creeks, during mountain bike rides, on trail runs, and off a standup paddle board. Bruce has dived all over the world but his favorite location is the kelp forests in Monterey Bay. The zen experienced while swimming through the kelp forest as an honorary member of a blue rockfish school, while sun rays are streaming through the kelp fronds is indescribable. This is true forest bathing. When Bruce is not diving he writes a monthly article for California Diving News and occasional feature articles for other diving magazines. His images have won awards in international contests. Bruce lives in the redwood forest and his closest neighbors are the thoroughly photographed steelhead trout in the nearby stream.
